The Curfew

As of January 5, the Hamelin Police Department, in conjunction with the mayor and municipal council, has implemented a region-wide curfew for ALL AGES from 10 PM until 5 AM Monday through Thursday, and 12 AM to 5 AM on the weekends. Third shift workers exempt. Please follow this new ordinance until further notice.

The old adage rings true: there is safety in numbers, especially after sunset. Whenever possible, avoid walking alone and make arrangementes to travel with friends, family members, or coworkers. If you must be out at night, let someone know where you’re going and when you expect to arrive.
